what is a microneedling?
Commonly referred to as collagen induction therapy, this is due the body’s ability to produce collagen after a micro-needling session. By definition, micro-needling is a procedure where as very fine, short needles are are inserted into the skin. These needles can range in size from roughly 0.5 – 2.5 millimeters. They are attached to a tool commonly referred to as a dermaroller. Thus, these finely tuned microneedles are then inserted into your skin.

The goal of microneedling is to create tiny sized breaks in the skin (without bleeding, although some may occur). This sends signals to the skin to restart the healing process which involves collagen. Once collagen is produced, the microneedling procedure is able to reduce the visibility of old scars.

ARE THERE ANY PRECAUTIONS I SHOULD TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER A MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT?
